The site we use can have a range of insects including Ticks, Midges, Gnats, Mosquitoes, Horseflies, Wasps and Bees.
We have equipment for tick removal and treating bites and stings, however, we strongly recommend bringing your own prevention and remedies including a tick removal device or tweezers.
Below are a few ideas for prevention and treatment that may be suitable, including natural ones, however, please take care to read the ingredients regarding suitability and allergies.

Prevention
Clothing acts as a physical barrier. Long sleeves and trousers tucked into socks.
Not sitting down directly on the grass if you feel vulnerable.

Treatment
For pain or discomfort - take over-the-counter painkillers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen.
For itching - antihistamine, crotamiton or hydrocortisone cream or ointment, and antihistamine tablets.
For swelling - regularly apply a cold compress or ice pack to the affected area or antihistamine tablets.
For ticks - tick removal device or tweezers. Tea tree oil (Natural Anti-Bacterial).
